HR Data Warehouse

The Human Resources Data Warehouse is designed to provide easy and rapid access to current and historical employee and position information. It is part of a University-wide project to assemble data from different transaction processing systems, including HR, Finance and Student Services (future capability).

If you do not presently use the SPA HRIS System (Inpower), complete and submit the System Access Form (link).

If you have questions or need assistance in completing the form, please contact the HR Applications Support Help Desk at 962-HELP (indicate you need assistance with HRIS) or submit an on-line help request at https://www.unc.edu/ar-bin/websub/index.pl.

To access the HR Data Warehouse, use the following link to reach the login page: https://s4.its.unc.edu/hr

The HR Data Warehouse requires Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 6.0 or greater, and is only accessible on the UNC-Chapel Hill campus network, excluding wireless connections.

Your access to faculty/staff data in the Human Resources Data Warehouse is identical to your defined access for the SPA HRIS System (Inpower). No special registration or set-up is required on your part. If you can access a single department or entire School in either system, you would have the same access to this data in the HR Data Warehouse.

If you are interested in HR Data Warehouse training, a class is available quarterly. Register using the online training registration site and click on the "University Operations" category.

If you cannot obtain the information you need from the User Guide, or experience a technical problem which interferes with your use of the Data Warehouse, you can request technical support assistance in one of two ways:

• Contact the ITS Response Center at 962-HELP and indicate you need assistance with the HR Data Warehouse. Your request will be recorded and routed to the HR Applications Support Help Desk.
• Submit an on-line Help Request at https://www.unc.edu/ar-bin/websub/index.pl. Select Human Resources Data Warehouse Support for the type of help needed, and enter comments in the problem description area.
