What Is Computer-Based Training?
Computer-Based Training (CBT) is an interactive, self-paced training that uses your computer to deliver information you want to learn.
With this type of online learning you can:
- Access the training from any computer with an Internet connection and browser
- Complete an entire course at one time, or complete it one lesson at a time
- Repeat lessons as many times as needed
- Have flexibility and convenience- training available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Business Fundamentals Courses
Training & Development and Information Technology Services' Teaching and Learning have partnered to offer over 40 business fundamentals related courses for a one-year pilot. Popular topics include:
- Basics of Effective Communication
- Building Strong Customer Relationships
- Delegating
- Grammar Essentials
- Leading Effective Teams
- Managing Company Change
- Presentation Skills
- Recognizing and Avoiding Burnout
- Time Management

Upon successfully finishing a Business Fundamentals course, you can send your Certificate of Completion to the Training & Development office at CB# 1045. We will then record the course on your training record. Because these courses are in a pilot phase, they will not be considered for certificate track requirements.
