Certificate Tracks
Training & Development features training opportunities in nine separate certificate learning tracks. Each certificate track is designed to enhance essential workplace skills, knowledge and professional development for Carolina employees by providing diverse, well-rounded curriculums.
Each track provides an opportunity to receive a certificate in a particular topic area, ranging from leadership to diversity. Individual tracks have four to six required core courses, along with additional electives from which to choose. Tracks were carefully designed to support a customized program for each participant. Employees wishing to take single courses listed in any track will be able to do so without having to complete an entire certificate.
Courses offered by Training & Development, including those in the certificate tracks, are free to all SPA and EPA employees of the University. By investing in the careers of its employees, Carolina seeks to help increase job effectiveness and advance the quality of work life. The University wants to ensure that its employees' work life is rich and rewarding, and provides learning opportunities to enrich their careers.
To begin a certificate track, complete the online enrollment form. Please begin enrolling in your courses at any time at www.training.unc.edu. Participants enrolled in certificate tracks will be updated about any changes and upcoming classes that may help fulfill their requirements. They will also have an advisor in Training & Development to support their learning process.
