Communication Skills Certificate Track

CONTENTS

Overview

The Communication Skills Certificate Track is designed for those individuals who would like to increase awareness and understanding of when both effective and ineffective communications are occurring between individuals, and also within and among groups. Individuals will learn how to optimize effective communications and learn to develop and hone existing skills to increase effectiveness as communicators both in and out of the workplace. Participants in this track will explore personal communication preferences, how to build rapport with others and communicate in personal and group positions, and strategies for difficult discussions, as well as conflict resolution skills. The track consists of five core classes plus one elective.  Participants who apply to the track must complete all coursework within three years of their application date.

To begin this track, complete the enrollment form located at the bottom of this page. Please begin enrolling in your courses at any time at www.training.unc.edu. Participants enrolled in certificate tracks will be updated about any changes and upcoming classes that may help fulfill their requirements.
