Our pool consists of applicants with a wide variety of skills and experiences in such areas as word processing, secretarial, reception, editing, accounting, computer, research, nursing, light industrial and much more!  For more information on how Tar Heel Temps can help you, please call 962-2900, or e-mail your placement specialist to set up a department visit.


How to Request a Temporary Employee

To request a temporary employee, the hiring supervisor or HR Facilitator should contact Tar Heel Temps with the following information:

  • Your name
  • Department Name and Department Number
  • Phone Number and Campus Box Number
  • Account Number
  • Start Date
  • Length of Assignment
  • Specific Days and Work Hours
  • Description of Position
  • Appropriate Attire
  • Location and Room Number
  • Name of Person to Whom Temp Reports

What Happens after the Order is Placed?

Once a request is placed with Tar Heel Temps, we will search for the most qualified candidate with the appropriate skills and experience requested. As soon as possible, our staff will follow-up with you with information on the candidate's background, test scores, work experience, and assignment's start date and arrival time.

The staff of Tar Heel Temps stands behind the temps we provide as we believe in providing quality service at a minimal cost. To help ensure this quality service, all temporaries are required to call Tar Heel Temps on the first day of their assignment as soon as they have arrived. We will then follow-up to make sure that the temporary is suitable to your department needs. If at any time should you feel your temporary is not meeting your expectations, simply give us a call! Tar Heel Temps can counsel the employee or replace the temporary with someone that better suits your needs.
