About the Academic Personnel Office
Academic Personnel is part of the Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor & Provost and is responsible for processing appointments, reappointments, promotions, and other personnel actions for fixed term, tenure track, and tenured faculty members at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Faculty appointments and recordkeeping are accomplished in close coordination with the Office of the Chancellor and our office also maintains very close partnership with the University's Office of Human Resources which provides benefits programs and a variety of other employee services to all University employees including members of the faculty.
