Immigration and/or Visa Status
The following wording should be included in contract letters for an appointment that may be contingent on acquiring proper immigration or visa documents.
"This appointment is contingent upon the procurement of an appropriate immigration and/or visa status prior to the effective date of the appointment and maintenance of an appropriate status for the duration of the appointment. This will be the responsibility of (person's name)."
The removal of this contingency clause requires the approval of the Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost and the Chancellor's Office.
