On Monday, May 8, faculty and staff from all over the UNC-Chapel Hill campus joined together at the Carolina Inn to honor those who have given 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 – and yes, even 50 – years of service to the University. The celebration included high tea and hors d’oeuvres, a keynote address by Chancellor Carol Folt, and an awards ceremony lead by Vice Chancellor Felicia Washington.
On Thursday, Nov. 10, hundreds of veterans from within the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill community gathered at the Carolina Club for the 2016 Tar Heel Tribute. The annual event, now in its third year, honors UNC’s student, faculty and staff veterans for their service to their county and to the University.
UNC-Chapel Hill faculty and staff from all over campus came together on Friday, Oct. 21, for the 2016 Employee Appreciation Day, hosted by the Office of Human Resources. Over 1,500 employees gathered in the Pit and the Frank Porter Graham Student Union for games, food, live music, and community networking.

This event, sponsored by the Work Well, Live Well Committee and the Office of Human Resources, will be held on Wednesday, March 16, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Rams Head Recreation Center. The Expo will feature an array of resources from across campus and throughout the greater Triangle area, with over fifty participating exhibitors representing all aspects of healthy living: Fitness, Recreation, Preventative Care, Nutrition, Financial Health, Community Programs, and many more! The Office of Human Resources is sponsoring a Toys for Tots Drive now through Friday, Dec. 13. We are collecting new, unwrapped toys for infants through children age 12. There is a special need for toys for children ages 0-2 and children ages 10-12. (Please note that Toys for Tots will not accept realistic looking weapons, toys with candy, used toys or toys containing any chemicals.) All of the toys will stay in Orange County. Continue reading
