After a national search, Adrienne Allison has been selected as the Director of Title IX Compliance in the Equal Opportunity and Compliance Office, effective Aug. 1. In this position, Allison will have primary responsibility for coordinating the University’s efforts to comply with and carry out its responsibilities under Title IX, which prohibits sex discrimination in all operations of the University, as well as retaliation.
The North Carolina Department of Revenue (NCDOR) recently issued revised state tax withholding forms for the 2014 calendar year and instructed employers to obtain new state tax withholding data for all employees. Continue reading
Each fiscal year, the University has to recalculate the biweekly regular pay for SPA permanent employees due to changes in the number of workdays in a fiscal year (July 1-June 30). While this does not change your annual salary, it can change the amount of regular pay in each biweekly pay period. Continue reading
The Form I-94 is issued at the port of entry to nonimmigrants by Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials to record arrivals and departures from the U.S. Previously, individuals would complete a paper Form I-94 and the CBP officials would stamp the top portion of the form with the date of arrival and indicate the individual’s immigration status and expiration date.
