Statement on Compensatory Time ("Comp Time") for EPA Non-Faculty Employees

As non-exempt employees, EPA non-faculty appointees do not receive comp-time or otherwise receive extra compensation for work beyond the normal 40-hour work week.

In the event a non-routine special project or work assignment requires an employee to work an exceptional amount of extra time outside of normal work hours, the supervisor may as an unusual step allow the employee the opportunity to take off time during normal work hours as a courtesy in recognition of the employee's exceptional effort. However, this step is neither required of a supervisor nor may it be done on a routine basis or construed as the award of compensatory time.
