Application Procedures for Tar Heel Temps

Thank you for your interest in working with Tar Heel Temps!

To Apply:

• The Tar Heel Temps (THT) application packet consists of the following three forms, which can be downloaded here or are available in our office.  Please bring all three completed forms to the THT office between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday:
• • Tar Heel Temps Application
  • Tar Heel Temps Applicant Log
  • Criminal Conviction Check Authorization
    
• The THT application requires at least three work references (if you have worked for three different employers) with employer, address, supervisor's name and phone number, your position, duties, and dates of employment. Your application can not be processed without this information. If you have NOT worked for three employers, list professional references.
• A resume is not required, but is a good supplement to your application.
• Please note that incomplete applications can not be accepted.

• For international applicants, the University's International Center (962-5661) is available to assist with work eligibility questions.

• When you come for your interview you will be given a University safety quiz to answer and return.

• The following forms are required at the time of the interview:

W-4 Federal Tax Withholding Form
NC-4 State Tax Withholding Form 

After the Interview:

• After your work references and criminal background check are completed satisfactorily, you may be eligible to work through THT.

• If your criminal background check does not match your application, you may not be eligible for employment through THT for at least two years.
