HR Facilitator Information

Resources and information for HR Facilitators

HR Facilitators (HRFs) are employees in University departments who process permanent, temporary or student personnel actions; handle leave, benefits or payroll matters for their department; or who supervise a work group that performs these functions. Most departments, schools, programs or curricula will have at least one HRF; many departments have several.

HR Facilitators work closely with the staff in the Office of Human Resources (OHR).

Adding/Changing HR Facilitator Information

To sign up as a new HR Facilitator, change your current department assignment or be deleted from the HR Facilitator list, go to the HR Facilitator Signup / Change Form.

Finding HR Facilitator Information

The HR Web site includes information on policies, procedures and benefits for all Carolina employees. It also includes other helpful information for Facilitators, including an archive of past HR Facilitator emails and an online directory of HR staff (see links below).

Please also note the Announcements column on the right side of the home page; this space will generally contain links to timely issues and upcoming deadlines.

The OHR website includes three "paths" or categories of information: For Job Seekers, For Faculty and Staff, and For Managers and HR Facilitators. Information is often included on more than one of these paths, as appropriate. We recommend that you take some time to explore the Web site and become familiar with its offerings.

A Search function is included on the left side of the home page. There are three other links from the front page that will also be of particular use to you:

• A to Z Index: An easy way to find information on a particular topic. Simply choose the first letter of your subject and look for your topic.
• FormFinder: This is a central location for all forms housed on the OHR website.
• HR Contact Information/Staff Directory: A listing of OHR frequently called numbers and information for all HR staff members, including email and phone numbers.
