The Count Me In Campaign was initiated by the Equal Opportunity and Compliance office in Spring 2019 as a way to promote the self-identification of disabilities among UNC employees. It was announced at the 2019 Spring Empowering Carolina seminar focusing on Mental Health and Wellness. Self-identifying a disability serves two main purposes: making sure Carolina is complying with new federal regulations and ensuring that our campus community is welcoming and inclusive for all.
How to self-identify a disability:
- Log in to Connect Carolina with your Onyen and password
- In the Self Service menu, choose “Personal Information”
- From the left-side menu, choose “Self-Identify Disability”
- Fill out the online form and click submit
