Total WellBeing Expo

The 2018 Total WellBeing Expo will bring almost 100 exhibitors (see list below) to UNC’s Ram’s Head Recreation Center with information on how to stay healthy, happy and safe from head to heel. Exhibitors include Aveda Institutes, Homewatch CareGivers, Fonville Morisey Realty, Damsel in Defense, The Joint Chiropractic, Rodan & Fields, Title Boxing, TIAA, and many more.
The Expo will feature many opportunities to try something new, have fun, and win prizes. This year, UNC is offering a chance to win prizes for participating in a wellness activities. Prizes include water bottles, North Carolina Football Club Home Opener tickets, and Fitbits. Earn an entry into a raffle for each healthy activity you participate in!
Health Check: 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Walk-in appointments will begin at 9:45 a.m. and be offered on a first available basis.
Know your cholesterol, blood glucose/A1c, blood pressure, body mass index, and waist circumference in just 15-minutes!
To prepare for your health screening:
- Reduce the wait, reserve your screening time in advance at https://maximwellness.bioiq.com
- Pre-registration for the screenings will close on March 11. After March 11, you will still be able to participate in the health screenings, but will not be able to reserve your time slot.

- For the most accurate results, do not eat 8-12 hours prior to your screening time.
- Be sure to bring your State Health Plan insurance card to the Expo. You will NOT be able to receive a full screening without your health insurance ID card.

Fitness Demonstrations 11:15 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Get ready to move! Join the Fitness Corner for a variety of 20-30 minute group exercise demonstrations throughout the day.
- 11:15 a.m. –Line Dancing—join the dance party, it’s not all honky tonk
- 12:00 p.m.—Title Boxing—pick up some total knock out moves
- 12:45 p.m. —Muscle Cut—work all your muscles, even the little ones
- 1:30 p.m. —Tai Chi—regain focus and find peace
Open walk at the Ram’s Head indoor track (2nd floor) 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Cooking Demonstrations: 11:15 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Baked Chicken Pitas with Hummus Slaw, so good you won’t notice it’s not fried. Learn it, taste it, try it at home!
