Whether you’re looking for extra motivation this fall or enjoy a healthy competition, this challenge is for you! Miles for Wellness is an eight-week physical activity challenge open to all state government employees throughout North Carolina. Each team of 10 will complete in one of four categories for a chance to gain state recognition and a traveling trophy. The second place-traveling trophy for the Tortoise Division is proudly displayed in the Office of Human Resources in the Administrative Office Building (AOB) at 104 Airport Drive.

Participating teams begin their virtual journey in North Carolina at the Museum of Life and Science Aerospace exhibit, travel across the U.S. to visit NASA facilities, a museum dedicated to Apollo 11 astronaut Neil Armstrong, and more. Participants finish up their virtual adventure back at the North Carolina Museum of History’s exhibit “The One Giant Leap: North Carolina and the Space Race.”

Let’s keep Carolina on the map! Register your team by Monday, Sept. 23!
