Dear Human Resource Officer:
On Oct. 1, 2021, Carolina Talent released two tasks for Performance Management: SHRA Probationary Reviews for October (for the period of July 1–Sept. 30, 2021) and Mid-Cycle Reviews (for SHRA and EHRA Non-Faculty employees who received any rating of Not Meeting Expectations on their 2020-21 Performance Evaluation).
Both of these tasks use the following routing queue and timeline:
- Employee Self-Assessment: Due by Oct. 15, 2021 (optional)
- Manager Review: Due by Oct. 31, 2021
- Employee Acknowledgement: 15 days after Manager Review completion (optional)
Reminders
New employees | Every two weeks, OHR creates the Performance Plans and SHRA 90-Day ECA tasks. Managers will receive an email from Carolina Talent that says tasks have been created for them.
Position Change Employees | Position change Performance Plans (and SHRA ECAs) are being reviewed by the project team. This covers internal transfers, promotions, etc. If you have an employee that has recently had a position change, please create a help ticket and a Performance Plan task will be created for them. Also include in the ticket if a 90-Day ECA is required.
PM Representatives | We are currently reviewing the PM Representative role and access. During this post-go-live review, if any changes should be made for your Department/School/Division, please reach out to Tyler Enlow at tyler.enlow@unc.edu.
New Performance Features
The October release of the two new performance management tasks also introduced another new feature: A confirmation email to notify both the employee and the employee’s manager when a performance task is completed.
Additionally, at the end of October, Cornerstone will have a release that will provide the following enhancements:
- If an administrator adds a co-planner, that co-planner will now receive a confirmation email. Previously, an email was only sent if the manager added the co-planner.
- Employees and Managers will have more search filters on the Performance Documents page and a new column to see the Last Modified date to better help them search for the right task.
- The character limit has increased to 30,000 for performance task comments.
Thank you,
Angenette McAdoo, Senior Director, Employee & Management Relations
Vanessa Ragland, Senior Director, EHRA Non-Faculty Human Resources
