Effective immediately, the following posting language has been approved for positions that were previously approved for participation in the Flexible Work Arrangement Location Pilot Group:
The University is currently piloting a flexible work arrangements program, and this position may be eligible to participate in the program based on the hiring unit’s business needs.
After initial approval, once a new position is filled, the HR Officer must submit an updated FWA Location Pilot Group Request Form with the new employee’s teleworking arrangement listed to ensure the arrangement is coded properly within ConnectCarolina.
- Any new requests for flexible work locations (teleworking) must continue to be submitted through the Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA) Location Pilot Group Request Form and emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
- A request must be submitted and approved through ConnectCarolina Self-Service if an employee will be working outside of the state of North Carolina, outside of the United States, or outside of a reasonable commuting distance from campus prior to the employee engaging in any work for the University outside of North Carolina, regardless of the duration. All employees working outside of North Carolina are required to have their departments complete the UNC Payroll Services Notice of Employee Working Outside of North Carolina form. For additional information, please contact Payroll Services at email@example.com.
- A request for work location flexibility must be submitted through the Equal Opportunity and Compliance Office (EOC) to seek an accommodation based on a disability.
