Hello HR Representatives,

Currently, when an employee leaves, you use the “Staff Termination” service request form at help.unc.edu to ask that their computer and departmental IT access (non-ConnectCarolina accounts) be deprovisioned. On Thursday, Nov. 4, this service request is being split into two separate requests. The new names are:

  • Employee Access Removal-Critical
  • Use this request to notify departmental IT and ITS Security staff about high urgency departures.

  • Employee Access Removal
  • Use this request to notify departmental IT and ITS Security staff about all other departures.

Note: As a reminder, to remove an employee’s access to ConnectCarolina, submit an access request form to your access request coordinator (ARC). To initiate HR-specific actions, continue to follow your internal HR process.
