As you are aware, mandatory testing for employees who have not attested to COVID vaccination begins on Oct. 1. Time that employees spend at a testing facility in order to fulfill this University requirement will be considered work time, regardless of whether it is during their regular work hours or not. While time spent commuting to the testing site during the employee’s regular work hours is considered work time, employees who travel to a testing site outside of their regular work schedule are not paid for the commuting time but are still paid for the time spent at the testing site.

If you have questions about a specific circumstance, please contact your assigned Classification & Compensation, EHRA Non-Faculty HR or APO representative as appropriate.

Thank you,

Adam Beck
Senior Director, Classification and Compensation
