Employees attended virtual wellness week March 8–12, 2021
The 2021 Total WellBeing Virtual Wellness, attracted more than 1,000 UNC-Chapel Hill faculty and staff who took a moment to learn more about one or more of the 36 different live health and wellness topics and fitness and cooking demonstrations presented. Virtual Wellness Week was hosted by the Department of Work/Life & Wellness within the Office of Human Resources and was made possible through the collaboration of 44 University and community partners.
Virtual cooking demonstrations were must-have’s
Participants had the opportunity to learn new recipes in live virtual cooking demonstrations provided by Eating Well with Chef Cordell, Lifestyle Medical Centers and UNC Wellness Centers. Recipes, recordings, and program details are available in the Schedule of Events by clicking on the session title. If you didn’t have a chance to participate, it’s not too late. Visit the On-Demand library for a delicious cooking demonstration of Miso Salmon and Kimchi presented by Carolina Dining Services and many eating tips by UNC Sports Nutrition.
And free virtual fitness classes were a hit
In addition, nearly 150 employees took part in free virtual fitness classes provided by UNC Campus Recreation and more than 50 have since purchased a group fitness semester pass giving them access to unlimited classes through the semester. Classes include Cardio Combat, Lift, Core, Dance, Barre, Yoga, and more! To get your Group Fitness Semester Pass contact DJ Scott at djscott@email.unc.edu to get your semester pass today!
