The ULEAD program develops highly skilled and motivated leaders to meet the challenges of higher education’s changing environment. Participants learn from our world-renowned faculty, outside experts and each other. They gain the practical insight, skills and confidence needed for leadership effectiveness through classroom sessions, active assessments of leadership characteristics and participation in an intensive, practical project addressing a major campus issue.

ULEAD participants attend classroom sessions led by world-renowned faculty and outside experts, participate in a 360-leadership assessment, engage in peer coaching, and work in teams on a practical project addressing current needs in higher education.

  • At least three years of managerial experience.
  • At least one year of managerial experience at UNC-Chapel Hill, NCCU or a comparable experience as a leader of a University-wide experience.
